Who is Morgentraum?
Morgentraum was born in 1969 and lived through the wild club era of the late eighties and nineties, which saw the emergence of unusual music reactions and the beginning of techno.
From the very beginning, he was interested in electronic music, especially electronic dance music. During this time, the first offshoots of trance emerged alongside the hard sounds of techno, especially in the UK,
a genre to which Morgengrauen is still attached today.
In his so-called civil life, Morgentraum aka Dr Hajo Rauschhofer was one of the youngest lawyers in Hesse to be admitted to the bar in 1996 and was also one of the first lawyers on the Internet with his prominent domain name www.rechstanwalt.de.
He obtained his doctorate in media law in 2000 and has been a specialised lawyer for IT law since 2008, which has resulted in his high affinity for computer-based applications, such as Ableton, Recordbox, etc. in the music sector.
Film & Music
2018, Morgentraum founded the film company of the same name, Morgentraum Productions, which also hosts the DJs‘ themes.
2021, he resumed music production, which has since resulted in over a dozen tracks on Spotify, Apple Music and all other platforms, including a TOP 5 track with Alex M.O.R.P.H. in the BeatportTrance charts.
Since 2024, he has also been working as a DJ again and loves to go wind- and kitesurfing.
